Here are basics to care, clean, store and preserve your Favourable earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets so that they stay bright and shiny for the future.

How to Store Your Jewelry

Always keep your jewelry seperately from other items so that they don’t rub together, scratch or tangle.Keep your jewelry out of environments that have extreme humidity or heat as this may cause tarnishing. Keep them in a dark, cool and dry place, preferably in box or wrapped in a fabric made out of cotton.

How to Care Your Jewelry

Your jewelry is susceptible to damage from the effects of chemicals so avoid exposing your jewelry to chemicals such as hairspray, cosmetics, perfumes, body oils, sun tan lotion, deodorant or colognes. Remove your gold-plated or silver jewelry before swimming or showering or rings while washing your hands. Chlorine, salt water and fresh water can dulling or erode precious metals and gemstones, or can permanently damage or discolour them.

How to Clean Your Jewelry

You can clean your jewelry with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth by rubbing it gently which can help maintain or bring back its shine. If you would like to store your jewellery for long-periods of time, occasional cleaning is recommended to maintain its shine and avoid oxidation. We do not recommend the use of any jewelry polishing cloths treated with cleaners or polishing agents as they might contain harsh chemicals.

Jewelry with Gemstones

Keep your jewelry pieces with gemstones individually and ensure that they do not knock against one another. Gemstones can become paler from direct prolonged exposure to sunlight as it may cause to fade and lose their colour. Gemstones also need special care, you can use a very soft brush and water diluted with soap to remove the dirt from the stone.

Allergic Reactions

If you are allergic to gold-plated jewelry or giving  reaction to them, you might try to apply a bit of clear nail varnish on the parts that come in contact. You can apply it again when it eventually wears off.
